Shoot registration help
Some Houston-area spots need paperwork before a paid shoot, even a small one. We can handle the simple ones for you.
What's included
- Finding out what your spot needs. Sometimes it's nothing.
- Filling out and filing simple-shoot paperwork in your name. That could be the Houston Film Commission registration, a city or conservancy park photo permit, or a film permit in Galveston or The Woodlands.
- Tracking deadlines and following up until it's approved, then sending you a copy for the shoot.
What you supply
- Your own insurance certificate (COI) where one is required. We'll tell you the exact wording, but the policy has to be yours.
- The permit or park fee itself. It's passed through at cost, with no markup.
Not included
- Road, lane or sidewalk closures, police traffic control, or rolling car shots on public roads. We don't handle these.
- Anything that needs us to hold a $1M liability policy. We don't carry one and can't add you to ours.
- Insurance of any kind.
- Private property permission. We can help you ask, but the owner decides.
- A guarantee of approval. The city, park or owner makes the final call.
Timing: book at least 2 weeks ahead. Some offices need 10 business days or more, and state parks need longer.
Price: quoted per shoot. Permit and park fees are extra, at cost.
